    Benefits of Technology Incorporated Education

James Kenigsberg, Chief Technology Officer, 2U

As you know, there are large numbers of vendors in the industry, and incorporation of technology to materialize integration between many of them is the biggest trend impacting the sector. The concept of sending and making data available easily to these vendors is of much interest to me. The cloud-based software-as-a-service platform from 2U empowers schools with the comprehensive operating infrastructure they require to attract, enroll and educate their students.

In terms of technology, we have always remained attentive towards incorporating technology into education . The goal behind these activities is to make learning a different experience for all students. Additionally, we cover different areas of education such as admissions, placement and many others.

In the education sector , the amount of data generated is quite significant, and I would say it is our responsibility to utilize the data in enabling better education. Facilitating integration among universities is another priority. I believe effective utilization of data could bring in great results to  an organization.

    The Results

I am satisfied with the outcome of our approach, as the results have been stunning, with more and more students enrolling for the program and several hours of successful learning. Through our approach, we have ensured that students deliver the best results. One aspect I would like to highlight at this point is the data portability, which we would like to bring into our services. This feature would make it easy for me to work with a service provider and it will be possible for me to build a platform and customize even when I would be using different methods.

    Views on Challenges

As an entrepreneur, I encounter different challenges. For instance, I have to coordinate with different universities, such as the University of Carolina and others. Many of these universities were incepted in 1785. While working with traditional Universities, often it becomes difficult to bring in technologies, as the concepts on technology use vary.

Given the way things are, the biggest challenge we have to confront is to find effective means to integrate with the universities. Many of our strategies are directed towards enabling students to enjoy the benefits of a single platform.

In view of the necessity to address the concern, we have enabled several micro services to ensure that technologies remain easily adaptable to such institutions.
