Enmotech: Building a data-based competitiveness on premise and in cloud

Guoqiang Gai, CEO, EnmotechGuoqiang Gai, CEO

From ancient Silk Road to the new Silk Road Economic Belt, China has always been the global hub of business artery. With the acceleration of globalization, China is also the first country to successfully transform into an Internet hub through the innovation and transformation of IT. As the second largest economy of the world, China’s IT is thriving in the most innovative and representative manner becoming the core driver of enterprise development. From the perspective of data and IT infrastructure management, the core needs has always been safety, continuity, efficiency, and intelligence. However, in an innovative and demanding market environment like China, these IT systems operate on massive business data, which puts higher requirements on the professionalism and flexibility of the construction, maintenance and management of IT systems. In addition to being more professional, the requirements of its service providers are required to be deeper in the subdivision and to respond in time to ensure the agile and intelligent needs of the system. Enmotech is such a service provider in data technology, that helps customers build secure, continuous, efficient, and intelligent IT Infrastructure. “Our mission is to develop tremendous value from data and help the customers achieve their business success,” says Guoqiang Gai, CEO of the company.

Enmotech’s solutions are mainly divided into two categories, one is to help customers build a private cloud environment for information systems, and the other is to ensure that the customers’ information system environment runs optimally. One example of the latter solution is an intelligent operation, maintenance and monitoring platform named Bethune pro.

The main features of the product are automation and intelligence, which automate data collection, analysis, and results display to reduce workload, save operation and maintenance personnel from redundant work while gaining accurate insights and prediction into performance and capacity. With all these product and service solution, Enmotech helps customers to ensure safer, more stable, continuous, and efficient operation of the database system with minimal cost.

Enmotech boasts of an exceptional database/ data strength by building a technological team of Oracle ACE directors, Oracle ACE, Oracle OCM, DB2, middleware, and Unix system experts. This enables the company to provide great design, construction implementation and optimization in all its services and solutions, and always offers a neutral and objective service as it does not involve in the process of software development or hardware integration for clients. Giving utmost importance to customer service experience, Enmotech has developed a professional and systematic process to provide timely responses and support all round the clock. With these stellar abilities, the company has garnered top-level clients from nine major industries including financial services, energy transportation, and manufacturing in China that has further strengthened its service experience under the most demanding conditions and typical scenarios in the industry.

A testament to Enmotech’s capabilities is Qinghai’s mobile business that was developing rapidly. However, the rapid increase in data volume and user demand led to flexibility issues and high costs. With Enmotech, the client gradually migrated Oracle databases running on minicomputers and centralized storage to x86-based servers and distributed storage zData, and realized database consolidation through Oracle 12c multi-tenancy, successfully taking the first step to the cloud. The new system resource expansion and management was more convenient. The multi-tenant realized sharing of the underlying system resources of multiple PDB libraries saved costs, and at the same time enhanced expansion capability. After the system migration was completed, the client benefited from great advantages in both performance and stability.

Interestingly, Enmotech’s products have recently been transformed into the mode of Scrum agile development embarking on the way of systematic engineering research and development. Looking into the future, Gai says that the company plans to develop at least seven database field professional products by 2021, strengthen open source support for technologies and products. At the same time, Enmotech will fully launch cloud, data intelligence, and big data services.
